reviewstook.com publishes buying guides for home and office printers. This page explains how we choose the printers we recommend and how we make money.

How we choose

We do not test printers ourselves, and we say so on every guide. Instead we compare manufacturer specifications, published page yields for ink and toner, stated ink policies, and what buyers commonly report about setup, connectivity and reliability. We then pick one model for each type and need, and explain who it suits, where it falls short and who should skip it.

We look at four things first: how much you print, whether you need color, running cost per page, and the features you actually use (scanning, a document feeder, two-sided printing, wireless and phone printing).

Prices and availability

Prices and stock change every day, so we do not show prices in our articles. Use the button on each entry to see the current price and availability on Amazon. Model lineups change often: if a printer we list is discontinued, tell us and we will replace it.

Affiliate disclosure

As an Amazon Associate, reviewstook.com earns from qualifying purchases. Links to Amazon are affiliate links: if you buy through them we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. Commissions never decide which printers we recommend or how we describe them.
